As a native of Oklahoma and living in Texas for 11 years before choosing to reside in Colorado, I am especially grateful to call Colorado my home. I truly appreciate the climate and the awe inspiring beauty that the State of Colorado provides.
I raised 2 daughters, as a single mom, while living in Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas, and working in the medical field as a Lab/X-ray Technician and Business Manager for doctor’s offices for a period of fifteen years.
I moved to Colorado in 1986 and obtained my Series 7 Securities License and worked with other Financial Planning professionals before choosing to acquire a Real Estate Brokers license in 1993. I lived in the Denver, Colorado area for 6 ½ years and Boulder, Colorado for 7 ½ years prior to moving to Crestone, Colorado in June 2000.
After acquiring my Brokers License, I was fortunate to participate in the remodeling of a number of homes in the Boulder area and also operated a 5 bedroom/3 bath residence as “guest lodging” (which was nightly and weekly lodging only, as opposed to providing a bed & breakfast) while building my real estate business.
Since moving to Crestone, I have expanded my approach to real estate, from strictly residential, to include raw land, ranches and commercial real estate.

There are numerous and diverse spiritual groups who base in the area, including various Buddhist groups, Christian, and Hindu to name a few. In the Baca one can visit a Carmelite Monastery, an Ashram, a Buddhist Zen Center, and a Tibetan Stupa. Houses for sale in the area are often purchased by those who wish to be near to their Rinpoche or their favorite mountain peak.
Real Estate of this area is attractive to mountaineers and hikers. The Residential and Commercial properties of the Baca Grande and Crestone, Colorado are not far from the trail heads to five of the most challenging 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado - Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle, Challenger and Kit Carson, Humbolt. "Down the way," in the area of the Great Sand Dunes National Park, are more 14ers, Blanca, Lindsay and Little Bear.
Across the valley, on the other side of Saguache County, excellent sport rock climbing can be found in Penitente Canyon, La Garita. The western part of Saguache County, Colrado is a vast unspoiled wilderness with much raw land which draws fishermen, hunters, hikers, horse riders, Four-wheelers, bird watchers and photographers. There are many areas of Saguache County where horses may be used to visit the lovely high mountain lakes.
